Cisco Systems to Acquire Cloud Networking Provider Meraki for $1.2B

November 19, 2012 -- Networking provider Cisco Systems announced on Monday its intent to acquire Meraki for $1.2 billion in order to address the mid-market segment with cloud networking solutions. The acquisition is expected to close in the second quarter of Cisco's fiscal year 2013.
