In this new position he will lead the company's Aura Network Solutions line of managed and licensed CDN offerings.

January 31, 2012 -- Content delivery network Akamai Technologies announced on Tuesday it has appointed Kumud Kalia as chief information officer. This marks the second major appointment for Akamai in less than a week, following last week's appointment of Mark J. Vargo to senior vice president and general manager of EMEA.
