Data Center Management Firm BMC Buys Security Firm I/O Concepts
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Data center management provider BMC Software announced on Friday it has acquired security, automation and consolidation solutions provider I/O Concepts. The details of the transaction were not disclosed in the press release.
The acquisition expands BMC’s MainView monitoring and automation suite and reflects the company’s commitment to solutions for managing any IBM System z console environment, said BMC.
The ioEnterprise solution will be introduced as BMC MainView Console Management for zEnterprise, which enables customers to efficiently manage complex and geographically dispersed operations from a consolidated and secured point of control.
BMC MainView Console Management for zEnterprise allows customers to realize a strong return on investment in the form of increased productivity, reduced staffing requirements and enhanced systems availability.
Customers will also benefit from remote access and control while retaining full security and audit coverage.
