Nimbula Launches Training Course for Building Private and Hybrid Clouds
(WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) — Cloud operating system Nimbula announced on Wednesday that it has launched its cloud computing training course to teach customers how to build and administer private and hybrid cloud solutions with its Nimbula Director. Nimbula Director is a cloud software that can be used to deploy private clouds in minutes, though it has a number of other uses according to the press release.
The hands-on training course “Building and Using a Cloud with Nimbula Director” will teach students to leverage API driven software to deploy large fleets x86 servers, implement a zero-touch server installation, implement multi-tenancy and security through identity management and network isolation. It will also teach students to implement and manage a controlled hybrid cloud federation to a public cloud such as Amazon EC2. For the full course outline, visit its education website.
Recently, cloud and hosting organizations have offered educational programs to ensure customers are properly trained on their services. Hosting control panel cPanel and web hosting provider Rackspace both launched certification and training programs last year.
“After completing our training course, our customers can rely on their key IT personnel to gain implementation perspective on their cloud use case and leave with the operational skills to build and administer a private or hybrid cloud solution,” Nishan Sathyanarayan, director of professional services at Nimbula said in a statement. “In addition to supporting our end customers, we also see our channel partners leveraging this course to build the foundational skills and competencies to help launch their own cloud practices and solutions.”
The course is 24 hours of instructor-led training, including lectures, instructor-led walk-throughs, labs and workshop.
The lab environment will be a remotely hosted Nimbula cloud, according to its website.
